I am pleased to announce that I passed my dissertation defense on November 10, 2021 with no major revisions.
Text: We are very pleased to announce that doctoral candidate (now Dr.) Kristen Figgins successfully defended her dissertation yesterday! The title of her project was: “Adapting Animals: Nineteenth-Century British Literature, Science, and Media.” Kristen’s committee director was Prof. Lissette Lopez Szwydky and Prof. Dempsey and Prof. Roberts also served. Here is a picture of all four. Way to go, Kristen– we are so happy for you– and thanks to Drs. Szwydky, Dempsey, and Roberts, yet again, for your wonderful guidance and support of our graduate students.
